Are you a positive, energetic, competent, and caring professional looking to join excellent faculty dedicated to teaching?  This position will teach up to 12 credit hours per academic year, with release time per department’s needs, in a student-centered environment.

This Position Is Responsible For:

• Teaching appropriate graduate- and undergraduate-level courses
• Holding 10 office hours per week and be accessible to students
• Participating in the development of policies, curriculum, and assessment of the program, as well as, advising students and serving on departmental and university committees.
• Assisting in maintaining accreditation data and strategic plan data
• Completing annual state reports
• Overseeing program requirements in both undergraduate and graduate programs

Our Ideal Candidate’s Education and Experience:

• A doctoral degree in Education or closely related field is preferred.
• A well-qualified candidate with doctoral work or a master’s degree may be considered.

• Experience teaching The Science of Reading at the elementary level is required
• Preference will be given to candidates who have training and have implemented trauma-informed and trauma-responsive practices in their teaching.
