Lori A and Martin J Weinstein 1981 Distinguished Professorship

Dartmouth College's Thayer School of Engineering seeks a visionary and collaborative leader with adeep commitment to energy engineering to serve as its Lori A. and Martin Weinstein Distinguished Professor.

Located in Hanover, New Hampshire, the Thayer School of Engineeringis one of the oldest professional schools of engineering in thecountry and features a single unified department of engineeringsciences that fosters cross-disciplinary innovation in research andteaching. Dartmouth Engineering offers undergraduate and graduatedegree programs and prepares the next generation of engineers tobetter the world through education and research with human-centeredimpact.

The Weinstein Distinguished Professor will join a large andthriving cluster of researchers in energy that collaborates acrossmany disciplines at Dartmouth. The successful candidate willcontribute to the mission of the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society to accelerate an affordable, reliable, andequitable clean energy transition for the benefit of society. Thesuccessful candidate will be a leader in energy engineering with astrong interdisciplinary approach and exhibit broad intellectualcapacities and a wide range of interests. The endowed professormust articulate and actualize a compelling vision and plan for thefuture of energy research at Dartmouth College. This individualwill be a distinguished, senior-level, tenure-track chairedprofessor in energy engineering.
