The Yakima Herald-Republic is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team in Yakima, WA. This hybrid role involves working both from our office and remotely.   You will play a key role in connecting organizations with our large, loyal audience across our online, social, and print platforms to help them achieve their goals.  You will also support these clients as a subject matter experts in online advertising, from website optimization, analytics analysis, and digital marketing strategy.  Your wins help to support of our award-winning news team and their efforts to educate our community.

Your expertise in digital marketing strategies and track record of new business development will ensure your success, and you will get to utilize digital tools unavailable to most businesses in the area due to our scale as the largest media company in the area.   Your responsibilities will include maintaining and growing relationships with key clients and identifying new business opportunities. An understanding of digital marketing strategies is required, and a candidate with connections to the business community is preferred. Your geographic territory, while based in Yakima, stretches north to Leavenworth, east to the Tri-Cities, and south to the Columbia Gorge.

The ideal candidate will have documented experience in managing and growing a base of consistent customers, with bilingual English/Spanish skills being a plus. Subject matter expertise in search engine marketing, SEO, digital, video, and social advertising is required. To qualify, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), able to manage multiple projects, and have experience in a selling role, account management, or presenting solutions to business owners. Reliable transportation is required, as well as good organizational skills.

As compensation, you can expect a base salary of $48-51k, uncapped commissions, quarterly bonuses, mileage reimbursement, as well as company-sponsored insurance for health, dental, and vision, and also a matched-401k.  A qualified candidate can expect to double their salary.  An excellent candidate may triple it or even better.
