Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Analyst.

The position of FGP Analyst reports directly to the Assistant Vice President, Senior Directors, and Business Administrators of the Faculty Group Practice. This position will provide high-level analytical support and assist in achieving the financial and operational goals of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

INTERPERSONAL: At the request of the FGP Business Administrators, represent the FGP at department meetings and act as liaison with outside agencies (billing companies, vendors, etc.). Collaborate with other FGP Analysts to enhance the overall support services provided to the department through the design and development of new tools.
OPERATIONS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Assist in the performance of operational assessments of existing practices. Assist in the preparation of business plans for new practices and/or lines of business. Assist in the preparation of presentations on any of the above topics for departmental administrators, chairs, School and Hospital Administration, or the physicians within the FGP. Assist in the development and preparation of ad hoc reports on specific issues to help practice managers and physicians make decisions.
MANAGED CARE AND REIMBURSEMENT MANAGEMENT: Evaluate revenue cycle performance and identify trends related to charge and volume activity, denials, and CPT coding that may impact overall reimbursement levels and/or physician productivity and associated physician compensation models.
MISCELLANEOUS: Assist in troubleshooting institutional issues as they relate to the FGP. Keep up on legislative and industry changes that may affect the manner in which we conduct business.
FINANCE: Review financial reports of physician practices (billing reports, volume and charge activity, wRVUs, cash) and analyze profit & loss statements that accurately display the condition of the practice. Prepare and analyze monthly scorecards and other reporting tools. Identify and correct errors in the payroll and accounting systems. Assist in preparation of FY budgets. Prepare other analytical reports to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement. Provide support for other projects as needed.
FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT: Attend meetings with regional directors and departmental administrators to identify and account for changes in practice operations, physician/staff rosters, and physician recruitment, and synthesize overall impact to financials.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's Degree (preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or another business or healthcare-related major). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, or similar programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $79,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
