Job Title: IT- Product Specialist

Location(s): Fairfield, CA (REMOTE)

Responsibilities:


  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the following. The list is not all inclusive and additional tasks may be assigned to the candidate.
  • Installation and Configuration of system monitoring and AIOps tools.
  • Administration - Monitor the general health of the system.
  • Meet with System and application owners for new monitoring requirements.
  • Provision monitoring for system related devices (e.g. servers, physical/virtual/appliances)
  • Configure tool integration with Remedy, APM, SCOM.
  • Provide client support and training.
  • Project Issue Support - provide troubleshooting and support for system Monitoring tools. Log support tickets with vendor, install patches and hotfixes.
  • Vulnerability Management - Review and install new patches on servers.
  • Transition Project / Build over to the Operations Team.


Required Skills / Experience:


  • Proficient in Installation and Configuration of Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Manager (UIM) and AIOps solutions.
  • Proficient in supporting of Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Manager (UIM) for system monitoring including Window and non-Windows (Linux, AIX).
  • Proficient in Integrating of Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Manager (UIM) and AIOps solutions with other Broadcom solutions (DX Ops, DX NetOps, Spectrum, NFA, PM).
  • Proficient in Integrating of Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Manager (UIM) and AIOps solutions with third party: Remedy Service Desk.
  • Proficient in Planning for installation Hardware, Software, Sizing, etc.
  • Familiarity with Remedy - creating, working incident, change and work order tickets.
  • Certificate Management.
  • Familiarity with supporting monitoring tools for Linux, AIX and Windows systems
  • Work closely with Infrastructure and application teams (Windows, UNIX, Network, Application etc.) & Broadcom (CA) Support.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, IT Networking, Security or other related technical degree.


Desired Skills / Experience


  • 5 years' experience directly supporting administration of systems monitoring tools in a large enterprise environment.
  • 5 years' experience directly supporting Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Management (UIM) and AIOps solutions (Operational Intelligence).
  • Proficient in utilizing and supporting IT Monitoring tools in a large enterprise environment.
  • Proficient in supporting Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Management (UIM) for system monitoring including Window and non-Windows (Linux, AIX).
  • Proficient in supporting and generating scripts in Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Management (UIM) for End User Monitoring.
  • Creating and maintaining alert integration between Broadcom (CA) Infrastructure Management (UIM) and / or AIOps.
  • Managing product licenses.
  • Proficient in reviewing and installation of new patches for the applications.
  • Knowledge of Python, PERL, Groovy or other programming languages common to monitoring tools.
