Job Title: IT Functional Analysis

Job Description
- IT Functional Analysis work focuses on designing information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture including: Collecting and analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system; Preparing flow charts, models, and procedures and conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions; Estimating the costs of system solutions and preparing project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources; Preparing and maintaining technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system; Leverages agile methodology to design and configure solutions; Works closely with business to develop required training, change management and operations process; Develop use cases, customer scenarios, and/or demos, and plan and coordinate testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications and provide support; Looks for opportunities to automate business process with technology, and may provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
As a Senior HCM Analyst - Workday, you can look forward to:
- Configure Workday modules including core HCM, Talent, Performance, Core/Adv. Compensation, Learning and Absence.
- Provide functional leadership in multiple Workday HCM functional areas.
- Provide consultation to Business Partners and COEs, building domain knowledge, providing solutions and impact analysis.
- Designing, developing, and deploying system configuration and system enhancements based on business requirements.
- Configure and maintain business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, notifications, templates, custom reports, etc. in Workday.
- Supporting Workday EIB and maintain security groups, roles and permissions.
- Configure and maintain Security (policies, domains, business process, roles, groups, and permissions).
- Work independently but closely with Business teams to understand business processes, goals and gaps. Develop understanding of the business needs, evaluate Workday capabilities to ensure continuous improvement of the platform.
- Collaborate with IT and HR for the identification and resolution of issues, evaluating potential system enhancements, upgrades, and/or system conversions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues timely to ensure smooth operation of Workday system.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the Workday platform.
- Lead Workday's semi-annual release process, working with business teams to address critical impacts, evaluate upcoming capabilities and optimize use of Workday.
- Support all stages of the software development life cycle including but not limited to; system integration, configuration, data conversion, functional specifications, program, and system quality testing, go-live and post go-live implementation support.
Skills, Experience & Competencies Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of the Workday foundations across HCM (Absence, Talent and Performance, Core and Adv. Compensation, Recruiting and Learning).
- In-depth understanding of HR domain processes, systems and best practices.
- Workday Certification: Essential Workday Partner/Pro certification in at least 2 of the above-mentioned functional areas.
- At least 7 - 8 years of hands-on system configuration and support experience for Workday HCM in the above-mentioned functional areas.
- Project management and familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
