Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices. We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to work at our client site at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a multidiscipline team and perform layout and detailing on electrical projects
- Independently coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a project
- Establish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Assume the electrical lead on many projects
- Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines
- Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
- Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
- Work with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
- Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
- Ensures daily job site construction inspections and inspection reports of several concurrent construction projects are conducted to monitor contractor compliance with engineering plans, specifications, contractual obligations, and governing laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems);
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
