The Role: Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead UX Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: This is an onsite role in Washington DC Responsibilities: * Guide the user experience process to ensure a cohesive and unified experience across various operational and financial IT products. * Serve as a center of excellence for UX in each project. * Facilitate user engagement sessions and oversee the deliverables from UX vendor teams to ensure consistent visual and interaction patterns across projects. * Provide UX guidance for enterprise initiatives and enhancements. * Collaborate directly with business sponsors and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and constraints. * Actively conduct user modeling and task analysis and develop personas and scenarios. * Facilitate user research sessions and communicate the findings. * Create or advise on content architecture and navigation design. * Translate complex user requirements and technical constraints into simple user interfaces. * Recommend solutions for complex interaction problems and enhance the overall user experience within and across applications. * Experience in user experience design for platforms or during platform implementation is an advantage. * Envisioning the user experience for multiple enterprise applications with complex business needs * Experience with Figma is important * Connecting dots and bringing a cohesive experience across deliverables produced in different project tracks * Managing multiple projects from a UX perspective being responsible for adherence to standards for the timely and quality delivery of artifacts Qualifications * At least 10 years of relevant work experience in UX design * Usability Analyst certification desirable * Basic experience with other Prototyping tools HTML/CSS & Photoshop is a plus * In depth knowledge of usability engineering and information architecture * In depth knowledge of interaction design * High level of visual design expertise * Broad level of understanding of information systems and application development methodologies * Systems application development methodologies emerging tech * Strong interpersonal skills and a team player * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Understanding of the trade offs between optimum user experience and technical information security and business constraints and ability to propose appropriate compromises.
