Senior Systems Engineer
Hourly rate $87.00+
US Citizenship is required
As a Senior Systems Engineer for Undersea Maritime Systems, you'll play a key role in a cross-functional team responsible for developing comprehensive test programs to verify system and subsystem requirements.
Preferred qualifications include experience in any of the following:
- Design and qualification of electrical or optical systems
- Electrical/optical system design, including requirement allocation and decomposition
- Requirements lifecycle management
- New product development and transition to manufacturing
- DevSecOps experience, particularly with platforms/tools such as AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or science or engineering or mathematics
- Minimum 8 years of DevSecOps experience with some of the following platform/tools:
- AWS
- GitLab
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Jenkins
- Ansible
- Terraform
- Minimum 8 years of experience with CI/CD pipeline development
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Test automation
- Minimum 8 years of Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, operations experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Agile philosophies and processes
- Minimum 8 years of Ground operations experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Agile experience
- Satellite communications knowledge
- Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
- Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the software development life cycle
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges
- Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
