ACARA Solutions and our client in McLeansville, NC have a Hybrid contract to direct hire position available

Systems Engineer (2+ years of experience)
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Undersea Maritime Systems team. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in a cross-functional team, developing and executing test programs to verify system and subsystem requirements. Your systems engineering expertise will be essential to the success of this mission-critical program.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and qualification of electrical and optical systems
  • Develop and implement electrical/optical system designs, including requirement allocation and decomposition
  • Manage the full lifecycle of requirements, ensuring alignment with system goals
  • Contribute to new product development and facilitate the transition to manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in electrical or optical systems design and qualification
  • Strong background in requirements lifecycle management
  • Experience in new product development and the manufacturing transition process

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and qualification of electrical systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and qualification of optical systems.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Electrical/Optical system design including requirement allocation and decomposition.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Lifecycle Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with new product development and transition to manufacturing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Agile experience
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
