Systems Engineer (2+ years of experience)
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Undersea Maritime Systems team. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in a cross-functional team, developing and executing test programs to verify system and subsystem requirements. Your systems engineering expertise will be essential to the success of this mission-critical program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and qualification of electrical and optical systems
- Develop and implement electrical/optical system designs, including requirement allocation and decomposition
- Manage the full lifecycle of requirements, ensuring alignment with system goals
- Contribute to new product development and facilitate the transition to manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical or optical systems design and qualification
- Strong background in requirements lifecycle management
- Experience in new product development and the manufacturing transition process

Workplace Flexibility: This is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week in the McLeansville, NC office to meet contract needs, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.

- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and qualification of electrical systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and qualification of optical systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Electrical/Optical system design including requirement allocation and decomposition.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Lifecycle Management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with new product development and transition to manufacturing.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's Degree
- Agile experience
