Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level/Associate C++ Software Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in the semiconductor industry. This role is an excellent opportunity for new graduates passionate about software development and eager to work on complex, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in C++/C programming, an understanding of object-oriented principles, and the drive to learn and innovate.
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay Rate: $30-40 an hour
Duration: 6 months (possibility to convert to direct)
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain C++/C software solutions for semiconductor equipment applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to architect and implement robust system control software.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve software quality.
  • Work in both Linux/Unix and Windows environments to ensure seamless integration and functionality across platforms.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proficiency in C++/C programming with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and development.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and dive deep into complex technical challenges.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry or related technical disciplines.
  • Familiarity with system control software and software architecture design.
