Developmental Operations Engineer This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. The Developmental Operations Engineer will support the hands-on migration of multi-tier and complex architectures, using various application software and hardware components to successfully migrate from legacy platforms to the new NGSC Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Developmental Operations Engineer: $165,000-$175,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Developmental Operations Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Promotes and exhibits an understanding of Agile delivery models or experience of implementing Agile practices.
- Works with a wide variety of open-source technologies and automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, etc.
- Works with source control and repository systems such as Git, SVN, Nexus, MS TFS.
- Performs script writing using multiple scripting languages Perl, Python, PHP, Bash scripts, Powershell scripts and GO to automate AWS tasks.
- Use scripting languages such as Python, Ruby and GO to automate AWS tasks
- Works with Automated testing Selenium, Load Runner, Unified Functional Tester to create automated testing environment.
- Understands and performs database management, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across the MS SQL stack.
- Support InfoSec scans and compliance audits
- Develop Ansible and CloudFormation scripts to provision systems and deploy our latest artifacts
- Possesses experience with systems and IT operations.
- Works with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
- Works as both build manager and release manager.
- Creates standard operations procedures, administration guides, release/build management plans, implementation plans, etc.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Developmental Operations Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 to 6 years of AWS experience
- Experience in federal government contracting required
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, - Associate (Professional certification is a plus). AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Developer, Sysops and Solutions Architect Associate, and/or EMC and VMware Certified
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with database performance optimization and monitoring.
- Excellent technical documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships and expectations effectively.
- Full performance level shall be considered after 90-day probationary period upon meeting minimum education and experience requirements."
