The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customersupport throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, andquality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutionsfor their most critical equipment and processes.

The Impact You'll Make

Develops specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).

What You'll Do

The Spares Product Line is a linchpin of CSBG's revenue and manages ~250,000 SKUs of equipment parts.This role will fill a critical need in the product marketing team within Lam CSBG's spares product line. The individual will be responsible for key aspects of B2B marketing such as competitor benchmarking, product positioning, pricing, and delivering external communications. These responsibilities will directly impact customer experience metrics as well as the product lines' financial objectives. The role is highly cross-functional, focused on interacting with product management, business development, and our global product group teams.

Product Marketing

  • Develop competitive benchmarks in the capital equipment industry for value-added offerings in the aftermarket parts & services space (e.g. industry 4.0, IoT, commercial products, etc.)
  • Develop a solid understanding of Lam's equipment offerings and roadmaps, collaborating with stakeholders to determine implications to spare parts product line roadmap
  • Create new product offerings and a customer roll-out strategy for Lam's global installed base, leveraging market dynamics, customer needs, and the evolution of Lam's existing portfolio of products and services
  • Create customer-facing messaging via clear & concise collateral, and own new branding activities to drive market penetration
  • Write technical articles, blogs, and other external content to position Lam's new product offerings to the larger industry community

Product Pricing

  • Own value pricing initiatives for spares, executing product pricing workflows for newly extended parts and packaged offerings
  • Challenge & continuously improve existing pricing processes for delivering on customer-facing KPIs while capturing product value
Who We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with product development, packaged offerings creation, or value pricing
  • Effective collaborator and a problem solver with a reputation to get things done
  • Strong data analysis, presentation, and technical writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with thin-film processing equipment and its applications is a plus

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
