Electrical Testing Technician Location: Greenwood Village, CO CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers. CLPE is looking for an Electrical Testing Technician to join our Testing Team to perform mid/entry level inspections, testing, and maintaining High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment. Technicians work with electrical equipment, such as SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, pad mount transformers/GSU transformers, grounding, instrument transformers, and variance of switches both manual and motor operated. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform mid/entry level testing of High, Medium, and Low voltage electrical power equipment under supervision.
- Testing on apparatus includes breakers, transformers, CT's, PT's, cables, and grounding.
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components in a substation.
- Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and Engineering Personnel in order to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.
- Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Knowledge and understanding of practical application of electrical theory and hazards in order to perform the job requirements successfully and safely.

- Degree (Associate or Bachelor) in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related field, or military experience preferred.
- Two to four (2-4) years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with the following:
- Prescence of Voltage Verification
- Contact Resistance
- Insulation Resistance
- Test Equipment Set Up
- One-line Drawings
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Available to work overtime hours and travel to the field for extended periods.
- Able to work well both independently and as a contributing team member.
Other Requirements:
- You must be a US Citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- A valid driver's license with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.

- Hourly payrate range: $30.00-$45.00 based on experience, plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
