Java Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Architect with 13 to 17 years of experience in Java Fullstack development. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust scalable and high-performance solutions. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex Java Fullstack applications.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains current.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Ensure the security and scalability of the applications.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the development process.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience in Java Fullstack development demonstrating expertise in both frontend and backend technologies.
• Have a strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Demonstrate proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Show strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time.

Certifications Required

Certified Java Developer Fullstack Development Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150K to 175K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
