Sr. Python Developer (8+ Years) - Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our Tango Project team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, market data analysis, and software development. This role requires a deep understanding of various data types and the ability to work with complex data sets to generate meaningful insights and reports.

• Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Analyze and interpret market data, including securities, financials, spreads, yield curves, and news.
  • Utilize tools like AC Analytics and BI tools (Excel, Google Sheets) for data manipulation and calculations.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable data within the system through data cleansing, data migration, and data integration.

• Report Generation:

  • Create and generate meaningful reports.
  • Provide insights and analysis on curve data.

• Software Development:

  • Develop and maintain scripts using Unix shell and Python.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and functionalities.

• Data Management:

  • Manage and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL).
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across various platforms.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, API, Django OR Flask.
  • Strong understanding of data types and market data.
  • Experience with data management, including data cleansing, migration, and integration.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL).
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (optional, but a plus).

• Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong data manipulation and calculation skills using BI tools.

• Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to generate clear and concise reports.

• Experience with AC Analytics.
• Familiarity with financial markets and instruments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation: - $90,000 to $140,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted till 03/22/2025
