Device and Cable Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience in Access NW - CMTS/CCAP/RPhy and DOCSIS. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a good understanding of Fiber Optics Cable Technologies and Cable Equipment. This hybrid role requires working in a day shift with no travel required. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that align with our companys goals and impact society positively.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced network architectures using Access NW
• CMTS/CCAP/RPhy and DOCSIS technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on Fiber Optics Cable Technologies and Cable Equipment.
• Develop and maintain detailed network documentation and diagrams.
• Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting of network issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of network equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in network design and implementation.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance network performance and reliability.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor network performance and implement necessary improvements to maintain high availability.
• Provide training and support to junior team members and other departments as needed.
• Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on project progress and challenges.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong technical background in Access NW
• CMTS/CCAP/RPhy and DOCSIS technologies.
• Have a good understanding of Fiber Optics Cable Technologies and Cable Equipment.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Exhibit strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Show proficiency in network design and documentation.
• Have experience with network performance monitoring and optimization.
• Be familiar with industry standards and best practices in network design and implementation.
• Display the ability to evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.
• Possess the capability to provide training and support to junior team members.
• Show a commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
• Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
• Have a proactive approach to identifying and addressing network issues.

Certifications Required

Certified DOCSIS Engineer Certified Fiber Optics Technician

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150K to 170K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
