What do you need to succeed?

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect with 9 to 13 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS WAF and a good background in the education domain. This hybrid role requires excellent English language skills and offers a day shift schedule. No travel is required.

• Develop and implement security architectures for cloud-based applications using AWS WAF.
• Oversee the security posture of educational platforms and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide mentorship on standard methodologies for securing cloud environments and applications.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Work with diverse teams to incorporate security measures into the development lifecycle.
• Lead incident response efforts and provide expertise in resolving security breaches.
• Design and enforce security policies procedures and protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Monitor and analyze security logs to detect and respond to potential threats.
• Develop and maintain documentation for security architectures policies and procedures.
• Ensure the security of data in transit and at rest within the cloud infrastructure.

• Possess a good understanding of AWS WAF and its application in securing cloud environments.
• Have extensive experience in the education domain understanding its unique security challenges.
• Demonstrate proficiency in conducting security assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Show expertise in incident response and handling security breaches effectively.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of security policies procedures and protocols.
• Be proficient in monitoring and analyzing security logs for threat detection.
• Stay informed about the latest security trends and regulatory requirements.
• Be able to educate and train staff on standard methodologies for security.
• Possess the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation.
• Show experience in securing data in transit and at rest within cloud infrastructures.
• Demonstrate the ability to support the implementation of security controls specific to the education domain.
• Be adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) AWS Certified Security - Specialty

This possition will accept application until 3/10/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $84,000- $134,000USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
