Inside the Role

As a member of the Freightliner Custom Chassis team, you are responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on products using proper service procedures and technics. The candidate for this position will have a passion for process improvements, a keen eye to detail, and love numbers. What You Drive at DTNA

Chassis assembly experience desirable along with a solid background in the repair and troubleshooting of:

- Automotive air conditioning

- Automotive electrical systems

- Diesel and gasoline engine fuel systems

- Diesel engine alarm and shutdown systems

- Forward and rear axle alignment procedures

- Automotive cooling systems

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Should possess some "mig" welding experience.

Must be versed in the use of oxy/acetylene cutting outfits.

Must be able to furnish own tools.

Must be able to communicate well with peers and RV customers. Provide assistance as required in all phases of shop operation.

Due to RV customer demands, this position is exempt from the daily overtime requirements of the FCCC Overtime Policy.

Must be willing to travel upon short notice and work flexible hours.

Knowledge You Should Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Two-year associate degree in automotive truck mechanics preferred with three to five years experience in all facets of the repair and service of commercial vehicles. A good driving record is required and a current commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months. Must be willing to travel upon short notice and work flexible hours.

Starting pay of $24.25/hr. up to top pay of $36.75/hr
