About This Role:
Tria is seeking a Data Services Expert to manage the development and deployment of distributed relational databases and associate Business Intelligence (BI) systems. The ideal candidate would have a background in both Technology and business. The person in this role would have 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft SQL server stack, MS SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). They would have 5+ years of experience with SQL Server configuration management, optimization, administration, development in client/server architecture, business objects modeling and relational database design using MS SQ Server. They would also have 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Apps including Power BI. The ideal candidate would understand the Navy Working Capital Fund (WCF) accounting principles and generation of reports and online analytical processing (OLAP) analysis for WCF funding and cost information.

Responsibilities:
  • The Data Services Expert works collaboratively with the client to develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making.
  • The Data Services Expert uses the data platform and associated databases to solve organizational problems through reports, analysis, and data visualization.
  • They will also provide data warehouse expertise with an emphasis on data design, access, usage, security, and quality of information assets.
  • They will design and develop technical requirements, deployment documents, and other supporting mechanisms for soliciting and documenting business requirements.
  • The candidate works collaboratively on project teams, systems and data analysis, design, development, integration, and enhancement activities, as well as related maintenance and more complex production support.
  • The candidate builds and modify database tables and views and optimize SQL queries, indexes.
  • The candidate contributes to the creation and maintenance of reporting best practices and standards.
  • The candidate monitors and triages report development request queue tickets.
  • The candidate review reporting requests, release plans, and enhancement requests for impact and prioritization.

The "Need-to-Have" Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years in the development and deployment of distributed relational databases and associated Business Intelligence (BI) systems
  • Minimum of five years of experience with the Microsoft SQL server stack, Microsoft Structured Query Language (MSSQL), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Minimum of five years securing a SQL environment in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)
  • Minimum of five years SQL Server configuration management, optimization, administration, development in client/server architecture, business object modeling and relational database design using MS SQL Server.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with IBM Cognos and other On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools
  • Understanding of Navy Working Capital Fund (WCF) accounting principles and generation of reports / OLAP analysis from WCF funding and cost information
  • Experience leading and designing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based application
  • Experience in Navy Security and RMF requirements implementation and their impacts to overall software architecture
