Could you be the full-time onsite Trainmaster in Camden, NJ, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive transportation management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, skilled, and supportive teammates. You'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of our rail services as a Trainmaster. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Safety, Compliance), oversee the comprehensive supervision and training of on-board crew members, and much more.

We'll look to you for:




  • Conducting regular operational tests in conjunction with the Railroad Foreman of Engines as required by 49 CFR 217.9,



  • Coordinating efficiency testing on CSXT ROW with appropriate CSXT personnel,



  • Maintaining the Company's program of operational tests and inspections,



  • Keeping accurate records of tests performed, results, and any required correspondence,



  • Performing additional duties as prescribed by the Operations Superintendent,



  • Engaging in root cause analysis to address issues as they arise,



  • Leading and fostering the growth of direct reports,



  • Motivating and positively influencing your team,



  • Ensuring the safety and efficiency of train operations

  • Degree in Transportation or equivalent,



  • Experience or understanding of supervising on-board crew members and conducting job instruction, training, and evaluations,



  • Knowledge of 49 CFR 217.9 and relevant CFR requirements,



  • Familiarity with operational test and inspection programs and maintaining accurate records,



  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis,



  • Effective leadership skills to guide and develop direct reports,



  • Excellent communication skills to motivate and positively influence your team,



  • Resilience in handling accident investigations and disciplinary actions when necessary,



  • Adaptability to perform a variety of duties as prescribed by the Operations Superintendent,



  • A continuous learning mindset to stay updated with best practices in railroad operations and safety compliance



  • Valid state issued drivers licensed



  • Ability to work a flexible shift including weekends
