Location: Boston, MA (Boston Logan International Airport)

Shift: 3rd: 9:30pm-6:00am (Sunday-Thursday)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled conveyor technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of issues within a conveyor system in industrial and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and controls
  • Install new conveyor systems and components according to specifications and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in conveyor systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and perform preventive maintenance
  • Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operation of conveyor systems
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements within account CMMS system
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on conveyor systems
  • Train and mentor junior technicians as needed
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding system status and repair needs
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience working with conveyor systems and related equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, including blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing, crouching, climbing)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
