JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State is currently seeking an Alumni Relations and Stewardship Officer supporting the College of Agricultural Sciences and Penn State Extension, one of the world's foremost contributors to research and education in agriculture-related sustainability, health, social sciences and environmental protection. A member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you can play an integral role in Penn State's future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development and working closely with the Assistant Director of Stewardship and the Associate Director of Alumni Relations, as well as other partners, the Alumni Relations and Stewardship Officer will oversee and manage volunteer programming and event logistics, and assist with stewardship programming.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as the manager and executive secretary of the College of Ag Alumni Society
• Manage other activities related to alumni and development volunteer programming
• Work with a team to organize and execute events for development, alumni relations, and stewardship programming including but not limited to coordinating logistics, working with vendors, managing registrations, and event day operations
• Support stewardship programming, reporting, recognition, and engagement activities
• Keep track of and work with university budgets
• Support other office activities, as needed

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, plus 4 or more years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires the ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion. Must possess excellent communication, event management, organizational and volunteer management skills. Experience in higher education alumni relations, volunteer management, event management, and stewardship preferred.
