PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the SVP, Strategy and Logistics, oversees the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems to meet specified requirements and standards. Leads the high-level design and development of new technical initiatives and projects while coordinating and prioritizing plant maintenance projects with the maintenance team.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads and develops the Maintenance Leader, Packaging Engineer, and Process Engineer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leads the design and implementation of new chemical production processes, including equipment selection, layout, and process flow diagrams.

Manages large-scale engineering projects within the plant, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Possesses a thorough understanding of all plant processes and equipment to lead troubleshooting efforts regarding complex technical issues within the production and packaging processes in a cost-effective manner.

Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then develop and implement optimization strategies to improve yield and throughput.

Evaluates and complies information regarding capital improvements related to plant upgrades and expansions.

Leads the design and implementation of feasibility studies and pilot testing/scaling for new products or processes for clients.

Optimizes asset lifecycle management to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and performance.

Reviews and approves engineering designs, calculations, and documentation.

Drives continuous improvement initiatives that align with the Company's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Manages contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and engineering tasks.

Collaborates with the general manager and plant manager to prioritize and complete site preventative maintenance and maintenance projects.

Collaborates to mitigate potential risks to production, safety, and environmental compliance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a college degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering or equivalent, plus at least 10 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide technical and engineering leadership to the AgraForm team.

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Demonstrates essential abilities including mechanical knowledge, technical expertise, business knowledge, collaboration, communication, decision making and skill development.

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning, analytical, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Proven computer skills, including the use of data analysis tools and engineering software, and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and can travel independently and overnight when necessary.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
