Job Summary: Globalstar is looking for a seasoned Regional Sales Manager with an extensive direct B2B background in telecommunications to be responsible for managing the sales process from start to finish when selling products or services to other businesses. This includes consistency in identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential customers, negotiating, and closing deals, growing key accounts, and maintaining ongoing account management. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To acquire targeted business and government clients in industries such as Forestry, Agriculture, Energy, Government & Public Safety, Construction, Transportation, and Maritime Research by actively optimizing pipelines and sourcing new leads until they are engaged.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Identify key accounts with growth potential, develop and implement a strategy to maximize growth.
- Conduct market research (analyze competition landscape, the efficiency of sales strategies, etc.)
- Consistently achieve forecasted sales goals.
- Manage the sales pipeline and source leads.
- Plan and execute sales activities that will ensure sales growth objectives.
- Be able to properly demonstrate the features, benefits, and value of Globalstar's solutions to customers.
- Set meetings and demo sessions with the potential customers/leads to convert into a sale.
- Meet customer requirements (responsive, schedule conscious, etc.) and maintain relationships.
- Provide forecasts, reports, marketing intelligence, and feedback on product improvements and suggestions.
- Attend and represent Globalstar at local and national sector trade shows, and meetings.
- On-board customers and keep the communication alive.
- Work collaboratively with supporting teams including marketing, accounting, supply chain, sales support, etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills and Competencies:
- Detail oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to act independently and as part of a large team.
- Solid knowledge of Sales management and b2b sales pipeline management
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and quotas.
- Self-motivated with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication (both written and oral), organizational and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of technical sales and B2B and B2G sales experience
- Experience with sales and marketing in IoT/Commercial/Government markets
- Proven experience in industries such as Forestry, Agriculture, Energy, Government & Public Safety, Construction, Transportation, and Maritime Research as well as other vertical industries.
- Understanding of the telecoms industry; ideally satellite communications
- Experience in direct acquisition of customers
- Proven record of sales results and revenue growth
- Familiarity with analytical, productivity, and reporting tools such as Zoom Info, MS Office, CRM tools, Excel, and other related tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel as required, moderate to extensive travel.
- Ability to work remotely.
