Zoetisis seeking a highly motivated and skilled epigeneticist with expertise in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and multi-omics technologies to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of epigenetic mechanisms by integrating and analyzing complex datasets. This position involves designing research studies, analyzing high-dimensional data, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovative discoveries and translational applications that align with our portfolio.

The candidate will stay current with the latest advancements in the epigenetics field, NGS technologies, sequencing methodologies, statistical approaches, and data integration techniques to deliver impactful health solutions. An ideal candidate will embrace a systems biology framework and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers and clinicians, will be key to translating findings into actionable outcomes.

Education and Position Responsibilities:

  • Ph.D. in Epigenetics: Candidates should have a Ph.D. with research experience in epigenetics. Hands-on laboratory and assay knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Methodological Expertise: Proficiency in multiple commonly used methodologies (assay and analysis) to address gene expression (RNA-Seq, 4SU-Seq, GRO-Seq), histone modifications (ChIP-Seq, native ChIP-Seq, ChIP-exo/MNase-Seq/DNase-Seq), chromatin accessibility (ATAC-Seq, MNase-Seq), DNA methylation (bisulfite-Seq) and chromatin organization (HiC techniques).

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Research Leadership: Leading or contributing to research projects aimed at understanding epigenetic mechanisms, including DNA methylation, histone modification, chromatin remodeling, and non-coding RNAs.
  • Data Integration: Proven ability to derive meaningful biological conclusions from the integration of multiple omics datasets.
  • Computational Proficiency: Expertise in designing and applying computational, statistical, and visualization methods to extract actionable insights from diverse omics data types, including animal, human, and pathogen sources, within a systems biology framework.
  • Pathway Analysis: Experience with pathway analysis workflows and developing robust frameworks for understanding disease biology.
  • Collaborative Design: Collaboration with stakeholders to design experiments, provide strategic methodologies, and validate hypotheses effectively.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, BASH, C, C++, R, Ruby).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with experimental biologists, clinicians, and non-specialists.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
