ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

We are seeking an Inside Sales Intern to join our team, supporting the execution of the Virtual Therapy Awareness (VTA) strategies and procedures aimed at increasing physician awareness. This includes direct support of outbound lead generation efforts, physician meeting acquisition, and schedule coordination with the Inside Sales Manager. The Inside Sales Intern reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, Therapy Awareness, Inspire Medical Systems.

This is a hybrid position, requiring a presence in the office a few times each week. Therefore, applicants must be in the Twin Cities for the duration of the internship.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE

  • Outbound lead generation:
    1. Cold call, email, and distribute physical mail to assigned physician targets.
    2. Maintain quality records of efforts and results.
    3. Maintain accurate follow up schedules and cadence with targets.
    4. Nurture leads to secure time on their schedules.
  • Work to attain quarterly and annual key performance indicators (KPIs)
    1. Provide actionable insight, contributing to the continued development of the VTA program and goal achievement
  • Relationship development:
    1. Establish and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers.
    2. Execute and nurture custom campaigns as needed to support strategic initiatives identified by the field team.
  • Admin:
    1. Document efforts in the Virtual Therapy Awareness CRM.
    2. Schedule physician meetings via Microsoft Teams and ensure details are accurate (time zones, etc.)
    3. Manage reminders for internal customers for upcoming physician meetings

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to take and implement feedback

Preferred:

  • Sales experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, upper management, and vendors
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, change, and uncertainty to deliver results with cross-functional teams in a positive manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and eagerness to explore new tools and technologies
