GENERAL SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Clerk creates value for organization by timely entering and paying supplier invoices related to the accounts payable function.

This position is currently eligible for organization's hybrid work schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Enter and process supplier invoices into the Accounts Payable module of organization's ERP system.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of supplier invoice entry.
  • Support the supplier payment processing and scheduled check runs. Ensure timely payments of invoices and maintain accurate records and control reports.
  • Assist with supplier inquiries and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Continually look for areas of improvement for accuracy and transactional efficiencies.
  • Assist with the annual 1099 reporting process.
  • Various duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2-year associate's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (preferably in a high-volume, manufacturing AP environment).


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to learn systems and processes.
  • NetSuite experience highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient at Excel.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • This position requires the flexibility to work on weekends to facilitate an accurate monthly financial close and internal reporting.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
