Product Manager - Data Platform

Location: Hybrid or remote in Northern VA, MD, DC area. Travel to customer sites up to 25%. 9/80 work schedule. #LI-hybrid

We're looking for a Data Platform Product Manager to lead a talented development team in translating business requirements into impactful customer solutions. In this role, you'll balance technical debt, operational maintenance, and evolving stakeholder needs-aligning product investments with both business objectives and customer expectations.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute a strategic product roadmap, balancing new capabilities, technical debt, and sustainment needs
Collaborate across teams (engineering, design, business development, marketing) to drive product direction
Conduct market research and stakeholder engagement to identify evolving customer needs and industry trends
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement
Capture and refine customer needs into clear, actionable product requirements
Manage software deliveries within cost and schedule constraints
Prioritize the team backlog, ensuring alignment with product goals and development execution
Make informed trade-offs between features, performance, and user experience
Advocate for and promote product features internally and externally
Lead go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches
Mentor and train junior Product Managers

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or a Master's with 3+ years of experience), and/or the combined equivalent of experience and education.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Proven ability to capture customer needs, create product roadmaps, and deliver software solutions
Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle best practices
Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building products for Department of Defense (DoD) customers
Background in budgeting, scheduling, and P&L management
Ability to align technical teams and senior leadership to drive product success
Proven data-driven decision-making expertise

Cubic Pay Range:

$153,963 - $189,400 + benefits.
