Job Summary: The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing is a critical member of the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President. In this strategic leadership role, the Vice President will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of sourcing and supply chain initiatives across the organization. With oversight of a $500M spend portfolio, this leader will be responsible for developing and implementing forward-thinking strategies that drive cost savings (5% year-over-year reductions), optimize payment terms, shorten lead times, and align with overarching business goals. The role emphasizes the integration of supply chain excellence, continuity of supply, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver business success. As a senior leader, the Vice President will guide a high-performing team in a matrixed environment, fostering innovation and continuous improvement across the entire integrated supply chain function. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead high-priority strategic initiatives aligned to business strategy and operational planning by providing data analysis to support decision making, innovative solutions and new strategic sourcing models.
- Develop strategic supplier partnerships at the C-Suite level; conduct frequent on-site visits as well as establishing key milestones to be accomplished by both partners.
- Develop, execute, and monitor Strategic Sourcing team KPIs, including but not limited to annual cost reductions, extending payment terms, sustainability, risk management, business continuity plans, contracts terms and conditions, supplier diversity, lean capacity rate, new product introduction, Value Analysis/Value Engineering.
- Create the multi-year strategic plan for strategic sourcing (direct and indirect spend) and sub-contracts based on evolving business plans and market dynamics. Determine overall optimal sourcing plans and supply base leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
- Evaluate best in class strategic sourcing technology and infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business, as well as scale for future growth. Contribute to the technology strategy by identifying, assessing, and recommending external trends in technology and methodologies.
- Deliver strategic and tactical presentations to cross-functional leadership teams, including KPIs dashboards, cost reduction activities, shortages action plans, and commodity/supply outlook.
- Influence cross functionally to secure support for procurement initiatives from key stakeholders such as engineering, quality, and product management.
- Create and develop key supplier partner relationships to enhance the platform's profitability and resilience with supply continuity.
- Build a diverse and inclusive, high performing supply chain and sourcing organization. Coach, mentor, and develop team's talents, including collaborating with other orgs and corporate leaders to enable robust career paths.
- Develop a consistent freight policy program (brand agnostic) for all customer outbound shipments, Establish landed cost model for inbound products as well as cost per unit to ship metric.
- Negotiate high level supplier product, lease, and service agreements.
- Actively engage in annual budgeting and forecast modeling.
- Serve as key mentor and leader in portfolio acquisitions.
- Partner with cross functional teams to translate strategic objectives into a project roadmap including people, process, systems, and assets.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or related field plus 15 years' experience in supply chain functions, or an equivalent combination of professional experience and education. Master's degree preferred.
- 7 plus years' experience leading teams.
- Supplier Relationship Development
- Experience developing and delivering procurement, strategic sourcing and fulfillment strategies. Global Supply Chain and logistics management experience in a matrixed organization preferred.
- Strong contract negotiation experience and skills with a focus on cost and risk
