Position Purpose







This position is responsible for support, planning and managing the operational affairs of all the areas under the assigned service area and optimizing operations through implementation of performance improvement initiatives with a positive and measurable impact. Assigned service area may include Renown Medical Group Department of Surgery, RMG Women's Health, Renown Regional and/or South Meadows Procedural departments. In collaboration with the department leadership, this position will be responsible for financial analysis including inventory cost trending, revenue controls, budgets, equipment, capital purchases, and statistical analysis. This position also maintains appropriate business relationships with Finance, Information Technology, Decision Support, Quality, Renown Medical Group, Service Line leadership, and other non-clinical departments.

Position is responsible for maintaining departmental standards of excellence as established by the Director or Administrator.









Nature and Scope







The Business Manager serves as a center point for the development of financial plans, reporting, and controlling the business functions of assigned service area. . The incumbent provides operational data and detailed statistical analysis critical to strategic planning and goals of the organization. This position provides appropriate controls and educates staff, management, and physicians regarding cost of services and operational efficiencies. Additionally, the role will help manage the staffing efficiency, schedule, and room availability in procedural areas.

Incumbent is responsible for data acquisition and analysis for planning, organizing and leading staff in accordance with divisional and organizational strategic goals. The position will also evaluate existing service line activity and will serve as a project manager for new programs to ensure competitiveness in the market while staying focused on operational efficiency and program viability. This position provides support and guidance to project team members to support various Renown Health strategic and operational initiatives.

Establishes metrics, key performance indicators and designs procedures, perform analysis, and develop the presentation of required data ensuring the information is accurate and understandable, actively participating in the development and presentation of the monthly operating review.

Works collaboratively with acute division leaders and service line leadership too ensure services are meeting programming and efficiency expectations.

Strong working knowledge of procedural area operations as well as aspects of medical group operational metrics.

Ability to work on complex, cross functional issues taking into account the views of multiple stakeholders.

Ability to communicate and influence across varying levels of the organization.

Ability to present coherent and compelling data and proposals to organization leadership.

The Business Manager must be able to manage projects independently or in collaboration within a team setting and set and adhere to timelines. Project management skills are mandatory in this role Will be knowledgeable in transformational health and the tools associated with process improvement

Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Requires basic mathematical skills. Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or another related field is required. Master's degree or higher is strongly preferred.



Experience:



Five years healthcare operations or related experience required.



License(s):



None



Certification(s):



Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) required within 24 months of hire.



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies.
