JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar to work on additive manufacturing under the supervision of Dr. Jingjing Li. The project will involve in-situ materials characterization and analysis with a particular accent on lightweight structural materials and processing. We are seeking candidates with a strong record in joining, additive manufacturing, and finite element method or computational fluid dynamics. Applications should include the following: (i) a cover letter; (ii) full curriculum vitae; (iii) a brief statement of research interests (1 page); (iv) contact information for three professional references; and (v) three published papers. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and will be accepted until the position is filled. System limitations allow for a total of 5 documents (5mb per document) as part of your application. Please combine materials to meet the 5-document limit. A Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field, is required by the appointment start date. This is a term appointment funded for one year from the date of hire.
