Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Forklift Operators to join our Corrugated facility in Asheboro, NC! Salary: * $20.00 per hour * $22.00 on 2nd shift ($2.00/hour shift differential) * $21.00 on 3rd shift ($1.00/hour shift differential) Shift: * Candidates must be flexible and available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed * The first 2 weeks of orientation will be on 1st or 2nd shift, and you will be assigned to 3rd shift after your orientation * Asheboro operates on a points-based attendance program Shift Hours: * 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM * 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM * 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night, finishes Saturday morning at 7AM) Our Team Our team creates value by safely assisting with the production of corrugated boxes for our valued customers. What You Will Do * Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers while keeping accurate shipment record * Safely operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers * Ensure loads are properly secured and in good condition * Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments * Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures * Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards * Pull whip and raw material for production support * Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork * Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least 8 hours a day Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * One (1) year or more experience operating a sit-down forklift in a shipping and receiving, loading, production, or manufacturing environment * Experience using computers/tablets What Will Put You Ahead * Two (2) or more years' experience operating a sit-down forklift in a shipping and receiving, loading, production, or manufacturing environment * Experience working in a corrugated facility or box plant * Experience using Kiwiplan or any other Corrugator Scheduling System At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
