Job Summary
The Project Leader - Infrastructure will play a key role in driving sales growth within the infrastructure markets serviced by the Strategic Sales Team, including solar, broadband, and industrial automation. This role focuses on managing our project sales execution. Success in this position hinges on a proactive approach to helping build systems and processes to organize and track project needs from pre-sale support through end-of-project delivery verification to ensure customer satisfaction. Building strong relationships with internal teams, managing internal and external customer expectations, and holding stakeholders accountable will lead to success in this position and for the team as a whole.

Responsibilities



  • Help design and maintain systems and processes that organize and track hundreds of projects per year
  • Help create and maintain communication strategies that facilitate information flow both internally and externally
  • Advocate for our customers and their needs while managing expectations commensurate with the realities of the manufacturing processes and associated services
  • Proactively look to make improvements to our order management systems by 1) understanding and monitoring inefficiencies, 2) working with various internal teams (sales, operations, engineering, product, etc) to understand constraints and limitations and 3) implementing new ideas to address deficiencies
  • Be the point person for project delivery details including status, timing, issues, etc.

  • Technical Capabilities - Ability to understand the manufacturing process and help translate the realities of that process into excellent service. Excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Communication / Interpersonal - Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. engineering, supply chain, marketing, finance, etc.) at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to recognize and customize communications to different audiences including utilizing diverse information from a variety of sources to present the HellermannTyton value proposition in an effective manner. Persistent, yet reasonable approach to communicating and driving results. Ability to utilize and leverage relevant, social media platforms, trade organizations, etc. to penetrate and expand business opportunities.
  • Leadership - Foster a team atmosphere and lead people through influence who are not direct reports.
  • Results-oriented - Must be a team player and ready to operate with urgency. Demonstrated detail orientation and disciplined time management to drive multiple activities to the established timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement - Change agent for internal process improvements.


What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with a manufacturer in a sales, marketing or business development role. Familiar with how specification sales work.
  • Three plus years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience initiating and managing projects (MS Project, Excel, gated process).
  • Experience working with electrical, construction, or manufacturing industries preferred
  • Data analyst competence preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working with many stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and adequate insurance
