Training and Development Admin Intern

In this role, you will support an ambitious team that thrives on collaboration and innovation. Garney Construction is a growing, employee owned water and wastewater general contractor currently looking for 2024 Summer Training and Development Admin Interns. The internship position will provide an opportunity for a currently enrolled college student to gather training and development knowledge from a construction company perspective. This position will involve learning about planning and executing events related to a construction company. We offer hands-on experience to leverage your classroom knowledge and convert it into professional skills. TheTraining and Development Admin Internshipis a full-time position at ourKansas City, Missouri, office over a three-month period during theSummer, available for class credit.

• Maintain training records (schedules, rosters, events, etc.)
• Prepare and disseminate materials (participant event materials, feedback forms, etc.)
• Manage session details (attendee list, needed materials, food/snack needs, arrival/departure times, etc.)
• Assist in the development of curriculum for a leader in the construction industry

• Interest in Adult Learning and Education, Business Development, Human Resources/Development, Psychology, Technical Education and Training, or Instructional Design
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task

Full time paid internship position, starting at $22/hour - 40 hours per week paid weekly via direct deposit.
