POSITION: BSC Store Manager

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of BSC Operations

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Store: sales, operations and management of government contracts. Must be able to meet sales goals and maintain profitability of the store. Responsible for minimizing inventory levels and ensuring the safety and security of the store and personnel. Ensures compliance with company directives and MOA/Contract. Maintains outstanding relationships with customers on and off base. Performance appraisals will be based on sales volume, profitability and performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Manages Base Supply Store, to include sales and operations management.
  2. Ensures personnel are properly trained and understand the operations manual, employee handbook and their position.
  3. Maintains blind employment requirements and ensures all employees are trained in blind awareness and the AbilityOne Program.
  4. Provides a safe and secure environment for employees.
  5. Ensures compliance with local Government Contract.
  6. Monitors and maintains Essentially the Same (ETS) requirements and ensures an ETS free inventory. Ensures no ETS selling to the Federal Government occurs, in order to support the AbilityOne Program
  7. Delegates responsibilities as needed and ensures tasks are completed.
  8. Monitors inventory levels to maintain good turn rates.
  9. Establishes new Federal business and customer contacts, both on base and within 50 miles of Base location. Works closely with the sales team to ensure sales growth.
  10. Drives any company vehicle as deemed necessary, to ensure smooth store operations.
  11. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* A minimum of 5 years' experience in retail/sales operations, management, and customer service.

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Strong sales skills, including customer service, presentation skills, prospecting skills, self-confidence, meeting sales goals, and motivation for increasing sales and customers.

* Highly proficient in retail operations, outside sales, management, and budgeting, with excellent knowledge of general inventory principles.

* Possesses strong communication skills, able to properly train and coach personnel, and delegate tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.

* Excellent computer skills and understanding of database management,

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in retail, sales, or business management.

* Familiarity with military and government organizations and acronyms, understands military supply, contracting, logistics, and the AbilityOne program.

* Experience working with the Federal Government in a sales-related position, including establishing procurement contracts and BPAs.

* Lift up to 50 lbs.

* Use pallet jacks and hand trucks.

* Operate a forklift.

* Valid driver's License
