Economic Development Analyst

THE POSITION:

The Economic Development Analyst will perform a variety of tasks in the administration, analysis, and coordination of the City’s economic development and tourism management programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting in the development and implementation of goals, budgets, policies, and programs in support of the City's economic development strategy; promoting, implementing, and analyzing the City’s economic growth programs; preparing and distributing economic marketing and promotional materials; and preparing professional level reports, including City Council reports and agenda items, delivering presentations to City Council and other groups.

Additionally, the incumbent will support the Economic Development Manager in property considerations; seek community development related funding through grants and private sources; coordinate workforce development workshops to support local businesses; assist agency partners with events such as, business grand openings and ribbon cuttings; serve as the City’s liaison with the local business community and tourism associations; meet with public groups and organizations to explain and promote programs that encourage economic growth; and work closely with the Community Development, Neighborhood Preservation and Code Compliance staff to implement City programs and projects.

This position will acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the City’s policies, programs, and strategies; establish and maintain records related to the City’s economic development programs; provide prompt and thorough responses to inquiries from the public and City partners; and receives, investigates, and responds to complaints.

Annual Salary: $86,860.80 - $105,580.80
