Lifeguards are essential to maintaining a safe environment and providing outstanding guest service. Essential Job Functions: Monitor Guests in recreational areas and provide constant surveillance of pool areas to ensure Guest safety. Act as a first responder to emergency situations that occur in the Recreational Areas. Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations. Perform life saving techniques, C.P.R and first aid procedures in emergency situations. Ability to stand for long periods of time while monitoring the pool, lazy rizer and pier area. Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions. Clear Waterpark and Pool area of used towels, lifejackets, and trash Maintain and exchange used and clean towel bins. Proactively address Guest needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information about the resort or surrounding areas. Maintain overall upkeep of all cabanas. Hotel Specific: Working both indoors and outdoors. Outside in all weather conditions, including inclement weather. Work in multiple outlets across the properties. Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbs Primarily standing for majority of shift Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or its equivalent Experience: Hotel experience preferred. 6 months of work experience as a Lifeguard - preferred Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and kneeling CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified.
