We are looking for a Medical Data Entry Clerk (Temporary Assignment) to join our Orthopedic Services Team in Austin, TX - hybrid work schedule (potential for 6-9 month assignment)

Compensation Data

Salary Disclosure: $25 hour

Duties & Responsibilities

The position of Medical Data Entry Clerk (Temporary Assignment) is responsible for accurate and timely completion of data entry, organizing, and managing data from our clients into our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Enter daily data accurately and efficiently into database
  • Verify and review data for errors or inconsistencies and make necessary corrections
  • Calculate appropriate Estimated Patient Responsibility (EPR)
  • Provide calculated EPR and Delivery Ticket to customers in a timely manner
  • Adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks to meet productivity goals
  • Comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA responsibilities
  • Perform other job duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Medical Data Entry
  • Ability to read and understand medical policy
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to listen to and understand information verbally and in writing
  • Ability to obtain, track, and analyze data to identify trends and recommend operational solutions
  • Ability to work well independently and self-direct work
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze, and resolve conflict and problems
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing and changing priorities
  • Knowledge of the use of HCPC billing and ICD-10 procedure codes
  • Skilled in professional telephone manner and communications skills
