SUMMARY:

Calibration of tooling and equipment in support of repair and manufacturing of aero and aero derivative engine components. Responsible for documenting calibration events, creating requisitions for outside processing of tools and equipment when required, using and maintaining the internal calibration system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Internal Calibration of hand measurement tools (Dial Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, etc.)
  • Maintaining external calibration list in line with the approved supplier list.
  • Perform, as applicable, Thermal Uniformity Surveys on vacuum and open-air furnaces IAW AMS2750.
  • Cleaning and repair of hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Maintaining quality records of internal and external calibration events.
  • Identify and record out of calibration tools and equipment for disposition.
  • Order parts and replacement tools when required.
  • Publication and ownership of the tool recall list.
  • Entry of new and replacement tools in to the asset list.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Repair Station Manuel (RSM)/Quality Control Management (QCM) and awareness of ISO/Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly calibrated, including calibration stickers on items.
  • Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of 1 year experience in material testing laboratory
  • Training in handling tools and equipment to support tool calibration
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, testing equipment and processes
  • Knowledge in Metallurgy and Chemistry applications required for proper training and development of Lab Assistants
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and graphing/charting software
  • Must pass related job test
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
