Overview

ERA, a Waters Company, is seeking a multifaceted individual for the role of Account Manager in the Eastern US territory. This Account Manager is responsible for selling ERA Certified Reference Materials, Environmental and Process Water chemistry product lines within an assigned geographic territory. These include proficiency test, certified reference materials and standards for PFAS and other environmental chemicals of concern, in multiple matrices, Total Organic Carbon calibration and suitability monitoring supplies, vials and other consumables. ERA's products support a wide variety of markets, including environmental laboratories, consulting and engineering firms, pharmaceutical and semi-conductor, food and other industries including government entities. The Senior Account Manager's responsibilities include delivering technical presentations and demonstrations to highlight the beneficial to the customer's QAQC program from ERA's comprehensive portfolio of environmental standards, reference materials and informatics system. The desired candidate is a self-starter in developing and implementing a strategic business plan to identify, develop and secure new business within the assigned region.



Responsibilities

    Develop and meet sales and profit goals in line with company objectives
  • Develop and implement strategic business plan for territory and report quarterly
  • Provided accurate and timely forecast, sales critical metrics and driven data
  • Passionately develop new prospects and penetrate driven accounts
  • Nurture relationships with key regulatory and regional opinion leaders
  • Support seminar, conference, and customer meetings in the territory by providing product and sales tools demonstrations to improve the customer experience
  • Ensure the voice of customer is represented in feedback shared with sales and marketing leadership
  • Fully apply our sales contact management tools and applications
  • Raise issues to appropriate department to ensure that corrective action is taken
  • Develop business through monthly plan of action
  • Travel as needed to drive growth
  • Perform other tasks as the need arises


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Life Science or related technical field
  • Strong understanding of environmental and food analytical lab, ISO 17025 and life science market is a plus
  • Technical and Commercial sales experience 3-5 years of relevant experience proven track record in selling
  • Experience in sales techniques including qualifying and prospecting, identifying key decisions influencers, leading major proposals, countering objections, negotiations and closing
  • Compelling and effective presentations skills
  • Strong business sense and business analytics
  • Strong Organization skills with problem solving demeanor
  • Good Collaboration across all functions
  • Strategic insight as well as operational ability
  • Action orientated
  • Organization/planning/time management skills
