Job Summary:

The Region Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing site procurement teams which support manufacturing operations in North America. This role will lead a team of procurement professionals and the extended teams at the sites. The role will have regular contact with direct reports as well as extensive interaction with cross functional stakeholders and leadership. The region manager will support the elevation of strategic procurement activities and foster an environment of continuous improvement of the group. The position will be responsible for driving team compliance of existing procurement processes and policies as well as the development of new processes to improve the Procurement functions across the North American Procurement team. The procurement lead will have defined financial and non-financial objectives for the region.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Mgmt., Business Administration, Accounting, Finance,Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience; with 5+ years in a Procurement role.
  • Direct management experience of functional, regional, or global teams.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing company or industry.
  • Experience with procurement processes including Strategic Sourcing and Procure to Payareas.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across company (e.g., finance, legal,operations, leadership, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.
  • Development and management of KPIs to measure team performance.
  • Experience with business operating systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working within a project management environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience with direct management of functional, regional, or global teams. Experience managing team members with direct reports is a plus.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 40% as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership - Lead a region procurement team consisting of procurement professionals within Hydro Extrusion plants in USA & Canada. Provide management support of direct reporting team members and extended teams within site Procurement.
  • Achievement of team objectives - Support achievement of objectives across regional teams. Success will include achievement of financial (savings, cost management, etc.) and non-financial (risk mitigation, Procure to Pay efficiency, etc.) objective areas.
  • Stakeholder Management - Work closely with North American leadership, finance, general managers, and plant managers, controllers, operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and service requirements of the procurement teams.
  • Strategic Procurement - Elevate the strategic procurement activities of the site teams including strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, medium and long-term category planning, vendor agreements, and compliance to all procurement policies and procedures.
  • Team Development - Continue to elevate the skills and performance of the team through hiring, mentoring, talent development, training, and other means of professional development.
  • Process improvement - Collaborate with the North American and Global Hydro Procurement teams to continuously improve processes and compliance. Work closely with the Procurement Program Manager to identify target areas for improvement within the regional team and help implement existing processes and develop new improved processes.
