Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Information & Library Science Intern at UL Research Institutes. This is a remote role based in the U.S.

The information and library science interns will provide support and guidance to enable users to navigate the library's collections and services effectively. Students interested in learning more about supporting scientists in a research organization are excellent candidates for this role. Students with experience or education in library research support, data science, or STEM research are encouraged to apply.

What you'll learn and achieve:

As the Information & Library Science Intern, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Assist in providing general subject-related research assistance for individuals and groups in a variety of settings

  • Support ULRI research impact through bibliometric research.

  • Collaboratively review library resources, services, and websites to update and present the most relevant and current information and status of services and resources.

  • Support library research efforts by facilitating connections between library programs and researchers

  • Effectively manage communications, assess inquiries, and respond appropriately.

  • Assist in internal outreach and marketing-related activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned
