At New Honor Society, interns are given hands-on experience and can be called upon to help with any and every part of the team's day-to-day activities-from planning to completion. We want someone who jumps right in and thinks an accomplishment isn't an accomplishment unless it is done on time and accurately. We want idea people. We want folks who challenge assumptions, think broadly and are interested in the details of a brand's design system. Interns should be prepared to work in an in-person environment at the agency for 8 weeks over the summer, June 2-July 25. Description: The Art Director Intern is a maker and visual thinker who uses design to bring ideas to life. They take projects into uncharted creative territories without blinking. This role requires a design fundamentalist, who approaches projects with both rational and innovative mindsets. The Art Director Intern extends visual language and is always mindful of both how it looks and how it works. Responsibilities: Work under Art Directors and Sr. ADs to solve an array of visual and marketing problems Create designs and identify how to extend the visual language for any given project Assist with the creation of online visual design, typography, visual concept, logos, icons and other interactive elements Work on multiple projects simultaneously, as directed Design Intern Requirements: Online portfolio showcasing examples of previous work 0+ years of relevant experience Proficiency in the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with Microsoft Office General Intern Requirements: Self-motivated Leader on campus and off Strong communication skills and resilient / resourceful when given feedback Has ideas, shares ideas, not afraid to fail forward Team player who willingly jumps in where needed Extremely detail oriented, organized, and thorough Asks questions and actively seeks opportunities to get the most out of the experience Passion for all things design: type, layout, imagery and brand This job description is not an exhaustive list of all functions that an employee may be required to perform, and the employee may be required to perform additional functions, reserving the right to revise the job description at any time.
