Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The
UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Pediatric and Public Health provides oral health care for individuals from infancy through adolescence, and promotes the prevention of oral disease. The Pediatric Dentistry discipline is committed to the treatment of children, adolescents and special needs patients while balancing teaching, scholarship, patient care, research and professional service activities. |
Position Summary |
The Research Technician position will assist with study subject recruitment, data collection, entry, and management. This position may also be trained to create tables and figures. This position involves contact with patients and other dental and medical professionals. The successful applicant will exhibit attention to detail, professionalism, and a good work ethic. They must be well-organized, reliable, be able to follow detailed instructions and become proficient quickly. Finally, they must be comfortable with independent work and collaborating with other people, in a team and in patient-facing settings. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Ability to observe, monitor, collect, and record data in order to assess accuracy, validity and integrity of data. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience with prior laboratory work is preferred, especially clinical-translational research. |
