50BRKTH Breakthrough POSITION SUMMARYWe're on the hunt for a research analyst with an analytical and curious mind to transform the complexities of market dynamics into actionable insights, especially within the realms of transportation supply chains and the energy moving them. As an integral part of our research and economics team, you will uncover and share market trends and insights with the Breakthrough business and our clients. You will also craft in-depth, novel research and analysis using robust data - including data created from transactions that create our Breakthrough Ecosystem - to help shape the future of the freight transportation industry. Imagine creating content that captures the essence of the market and meets the diverse data and insight needs of some of the greatest brands on earth. Your work will support product development, streamline market-focused operations, and be crucial for forecasting the future of freight and energy markets. Get ready to dive deep, analyze, and identify future trends that will define our industry.

This position will work on-site in Green Bay, WI. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Grow expertise in the dynamics and activity of global freight transportation markets and the energy that moves them.

Research:

  • Contribute research and analysis toward monthly fuel and freight market publications, webcasts, and other media.
  • Complete research to support product development and enhance existing Breakthrough data products and services.

Analysis:

  • Support client needs for data and insights arising from functions across the Breakthrough business.
  • Analyze and audit daily energy market-focused processes and reporting.
  • Update data and information used to support client forecasts.

Delivery:

  • Build market-focused and topical presentations to educate internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete daily knowledge management processes.
  • Create executive-level market summaries and presentations to transportation supply chain professionals.

Collaboration:

  • Cultivate U.S. Venture's values while inspiring, empowering, recognizing, and guiding team members.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in relevant field such as: Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Prior internship experience as an analyst, with a focus on industry analysis and sharing insights with project leaders or stakeholders is preferred.
  • Data analysis, analytics, and visualization experience.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • A desire to grow in a career focused upon optimizing cost, service, and sustainability across transportation supply chains.
  • Self-motivation and curiosity.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience producing insights from programming languages or data analytics tools is a plus.
