Director of Pharmacy and Materials Management

As a full time, exemptDirector of Pharmacy and Materials Managementwith CPS Solutions, LLC at Henry County Hospital, your duties will include pharmacy organization of workflow, formulary management, operating the pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In addition, you will be staffing and overseeing all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing and controlling activities. You will fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy. You will also oversee a staff of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Schedule: This position will work full time 40 hours per week typically Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, or as needed.

Salary Range:$140,000 to $160,000 annually (based on experience).

About the Facility:Henry CountyHospitalis a 25 bed,not for profit,critical access,DNV accredited hospital. Services includeCancer/Oncology, Emergency, ICU, Sleep Center, Cardiac Rehab, Respiratory, and Women's Healthservices throughout Napoleonand surrounding areas. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

Required Qualifications:

Director of Pharmacy

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Ohio in good standing
  • 2+ years recent pharmacy management in a hospital setting preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of 340B
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
  • Ability to deal effectively with change
  • Knowledge of Retail pharmacy operations
  • Experience with Pyxis is a plus

Materials Management

  • Maintain policies and procedures in the areas of procurement, inventory control, receiving and storage, and distribution policies and procedures in the areas of procurement, inventory control, receiving and storage, and distribution
  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Finance and Development in the form of reports, budgets, supply utilization analysis and capital expenditure management.
  • Interface directly with all departments in the hospital regarding materials that have been requested to ascertain specifications and need.
  • Negotiate and act as the contact person for all purchase agreements with the various distributors for materials that may or may not be addressed by a group purchasing organization.
  • Review, evaluate and approve all purchase orders.
  • Coordinate all activities of the Central Services area, except for sterilization procedures.
  • Solicit proposals from various manufacturers and distributors for all supplies and equipment throughout the hospital, except for pharmaceuticals and dietary products.
  • Maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments and staff.
  • Oversight and managementofemployees of the material management department.

Hospital Requirements:

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series or titer
  • TDAP/TD if no vaccine in 10 years
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine
  • BCI/FBI background check (required)
