Overview

#CAES is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to learn from our world-class process engineering group.This role is required to work part-time during the school year and the option to work full-time during the summer. This role is in San Jose, CA and there is no relocation available for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Participate in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Assist in improving assembly processes.
  • Modify detailed designs with CAD software
  • Update assembly drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Assist in implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Current Sophomore, Junior or Senior, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

  • Must show definite interest and desire to work on process problems and improvements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability and desire to work hands-on in a team environment is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required to work with a wide variety of people.
  • Familiar with Computer Aided Design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or DraftSight.

Salary Range: Process Engineering Intern: $30.00- $35.00 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
