Summary

As Senior Manager, Property you will take on a strategic leadership role responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing the construction of real estate assets. This dynamic role combines management, strategy, and project planning to ensure the seamless execution of development projects. The Senior Manager, Property will drive process improvements, optimize vendor networks, and strategically manage relationships with relevant construction companies, consultants, and authorities.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support for skill development and career growth.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the effective coordination and execution of construction activities across the project portfolio.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of construction projects, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Continuously assess development and construction processes and identify key areas for improvement.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations in relation to work force, standards and building codes.
  • Ensure compliance with DSV Code of Conduct as well as DSV Human Rights Policy at any given time.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders to develop construction strategies that align with the assigned program needs and objectives.
  • Develop and manage construction budgets, expenses, cost reduction initiatives, and resource allocation.
  • Integrate sustainable practices into construction projects aligning with the assigned programs commitment to environmental responsibility.
  • Implement initiatives that reduce carbon footprint and enhance resource efficiency.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and manage a project portfolio.
  • Cultural understanding coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills towards stakeholders from various geographical, cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude to address complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and their application in logistics.
  • Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally.



Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

This means that an employee may be terminated for any reason, or no reason at all, at any time, provided the discharge does not violate any law*. Additionally, each employee has the right to terminate his/her employment at any time. *Except if employed in Montana, where termination requires just cause.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $138,500.00- $208,000.00 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
