Millwork Configuration Systems Analyst

PURPOSE

Support the development and analysis of the product configuration application. Individual will be part of the configuration team responsible for the development and optimization of manufactured/assembled products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Develop Mfg BOM rules and tables within configuration module to facilitate the accurate build of finished millwork products.
  • Work with the Product Data File and Inventory Control teams to setup required components and parts.
  • Set-up, maintain and document standards for required configuration models, tables, rules, etc to facilitate ease of bid/order entry for manufactured and assembled products.
  • Participate in development of new configuration model workflow as required by markets for new configured products.
  • Train associates on Catalog and BOM maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in acquisition conversions to configurator module.
  • Follow direction of immediate supervisor ensuring accurate detail and programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.




  • Bachelor's degree in related field. Manufacturing configuration systems / Supply Chain. Applicable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Manufacturing and BOM configuration development.
  • Product knowledge in door and window manufacturing preferred, component parts and overall knowledge of what makes up a finished good unit and its function for the customer.
  • High level of experience and expertise with Microsoft Office suite of products.
